Israel’s UN Ambassador Warns of Iranian Drone Threat
Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations Danny Danon warned about the threat posed by Iranian drones and missiles during remarks about the ongoing conflict.
Danon pointed to the Iranian Shahed-136 drone, describing it as a weapon capable of traveling long distances and carrying more than 100 pounds of explosives. He said such drones could threaten cities across the region and potentially beyond.
Danon argued that the scale of the threat is why Israel and the United States are acting together militarily. He said the objective of the operation is to dismantle Iran’s nuclear ambitions, ballistic missile programs, naval threats, and regional proxy networks.
According to Danon, the conflict is only days into the operation but has already significantly degraded Iranian capabilities.
