Who Are the Yazidis? Survivors of ISIS Atrocities

Two Yazidi boys, Diyar Elî Refo and Osman Xêro Xudêda, were reunited with their families after nearly 11 years in ISIS captivity.

Abducted as children during the 2014 Sinjar massacre, Diyar and Osman endured years of hardship. Their return, facilitated by the Syrian Democratic Forces, highlights the ongoing tragedy: thousands of Yazidis remain missing, and many are still believed to be held captive.
