What Really Caused Fearless Felix’s Fatal Crash?

Prosecutors in Italy have concluded that extreme sports legend Felix Baumgartner’s fatal paragliding accident in July was caused by human error, not equipment malfunction.

Baumgartner, who became world-famous in 2012 for breaking the sound barrier during his record-setting skydive from 24 miles above Earth, died at 56 after his motorized paraglider went into an uncontrollable spiral near Italy’s Adriatic coast.

The investigation found no mechanical defects, only a failed recovery maneuver.

Baumgartner, nicknamed “Fearless Felix,” was known for meticulous planning and thousands of successful jumps across the globe.

His death marks a tragic end to the life of a pioneer who once described standing at the edge of space as a moment of pure humility and awe.
