What Epstein Wanted From Hermès and Other Elite Contacts
Newly released U.S. Justice Department documents are shedding new light on how Jeffrey Epstein communicated with companies, public figures, and associates, revealing a pattern of outreach that often involved luxury goods and brand connections.
According to the records, Epstein arranged designer gifts such as handbags, clothing, watches, and accessories for individuals in his network. One email from 2017 shows him approving a $1,790 Prada tote as a gift, while another exchange detailed luxury clothing purchases totaling $9,858 for filmmaker Woody Allen.
The files also include messages showing recipients sending thank-you responses after receiving items.
The documents surfaced as Hermès Executive Chairman Axel Dumas said on Feb. 12, 2026, that Epstein had repeatedly sought meetings with him and contacted the luxury brand requesting interior design work for a private jet, requests the company declined. Dumas said he believed the company had been a target at the time.
Taken together, the records provide detailed insight into Epstein’s documented communications, purchases, and outreach efforts across business and social circles.
