US Confirms American Father Dies in West Bank Arson Attack

Khamis Ayyad, a 41-year-old American citizen and father, died from smoke inhalation in the West Bank village of Silwad after suspected Israeli settlers set fire to homes and vehicles, according to Palestinian officials. Ayyad had relocated to the region with his family while working for a U.S. company. He is the second American to die from settler violence in July.
