US Aid Cuts Could Cause 14 Million Deaths by 2030, Study Warns

A new study published in The Lancet reveals that the Trump administration’s massive cuts to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) could result in over 14 million avoidable deaths by 2030, including 4.5 million children under five.

Once responsible for 40% of global humanitarian aid, USAID funding was slashed by 83% after Trump’s return to the White House.

The report warns that the cuts reverse decades of progress on diseases like HIV and malaria and threaten critical global health infrastructure.
