Trump’s Gulf Trip Sparks Major Jet and Arms Orders

Gulf–U.S. agreements are set to reach unprecedented levels as Qatar Airways prepares a massive order of 100 Boeing widebody jets, with an option for 100 more.

The move comes ahead of a high-profile U.S. presidential visit to the Gulf, during which Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates are expected to announce a range of commercial deals.

These Gulf–U.S. agreements, spanning aviation, defense, energy, tech, and infrastructure, could total up to $3 trillion, far exceeding past deals signed during earlier tours.
