Trump’s $1.5B Vietnam Golf Empire Breaks Ground Near Hanoi

A $1.5 billion luxury golf and residential resort project, backed by the Trump Organization, has officially broken ground just outside Hanoi, Vietnam. The development includes three championship-style 18-hole golf courses, high-end villas, and five-star hotels, making it one of the largest Trump-branded projects in Asia.

The groundbreaking ceremony was attended by Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Eric Trump, who praised Vietnam’s growth and real estate potential. “This will be the envy of Asia,” he said during the event. The Trump Organization and Vietnamese partner Kinhbac City received swift approval for the project, which will span 990 hectares and is scheduled for completion by 2027.

The ceremony comes amid U.S.–Vietnam trade negotiations, with Vietnam initially facing some of the highest proposed tariffs under Trump’s global “Liberation Day” tariff plan. Though postponed for now, the economic backdrop adds a strategic dimension to the project.

As Trump-affiliated developments expand across Asia and the Middle East, this luxury complex near Hanoi reflects the growing economic ties between Vietnam and the U.S., and the Trump brand’s continued presence in high-profile global real estate ventures.
