After Just Two Days, Trump Says US Bombing ‘Obliterated’ Iran Nuclear Sites
President Donald Trump announced that US airstrikes had “totally obliterated” Iran’s key nuclear facilities at Fordow, Isfahan, and Natanz in a dramatic escalation of the ongoing conflict between Tehran and Tel Aviv.
In a televised address, Trump warned of further action if Iran failed to seek peace and return to nuclear negotiations.
Trump had previously said he would decide “within two weeks” whether to join Israel’s campaign — but acted much sooner.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu hailed the US strikes, saying Trump’s decision “will change history.”
Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian foreign minister, condemned the US attacks as “lawless and criminal,” saying Tehran reserved the right to defend its sovereignty.
The UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency said it had not detected any increase in radiation levels at key nuclear sites in Iran following the strikes and Tehran said Sunday there were “no signs of contamination.”
