Trump Announces Iran-Israel Ceasefire ‘Now in Effect’

US President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire between Iran and Israel on the 12th day of their conflict, urging both sides to respect the truce.

Trump said Iran would halt its operations first, followed by Israel 12 hours later. However, Iran’s foreign minister denied any formal agreement, though he signaled Iran would pause operations if Israel stopped its attacks.

The ceasefire comes after a series of deadly strikes, including Iran’s latest missile attack on the US Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, which came as a proportional response to US strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.

Despite this, tensions remain relatively high, with over 400 people killed in Iran and 24 in Israel.
