Tornadoes, Wildfires, and Blizzard Warnings as Major Storm Sweeps the U.S

A powerful storm system has unleashed extreme weather across the United States, bringing tornadoes, deadly dust storms, wildfires, and blizzard conditions. The National Weather Service warns that the storm, stretching from Texas to the Canadian border, will continue to pose severe threats through the weekend.

At least five tornadoes were reported in Missouri, damaging buildings, while three people were killed in Texas after a massive dust storm caused a 38-car pileup near Amarillo. Wildfires fueled by strong winds and dry conditions have spread across Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, and New Mexico, forcing evacuations.

In the Northern Plains, blizzard warnings are in effect, with forecasts predicting up to a foot of snow and winds reaching 60 mph. Meanwhile, 216,000 homes and businesses are without power due to extreme wind damage.

Meteorologists warn that Mississippi and Alabama are at the highest risk for tornadoes and flash floods as the storm continues to move east.
