TikTok Deletes Huda Kattan’s Video Over Israel Conspiracy Claims
TikTok has taken down a video posted by beauty influencer and Huda Beauty founder Huda Kattan, after she made a series of controversial claims about Israel.
In the now-deleted video shared with her 11 million TikTok followers, Kattan suggested that Israel was behind global events such as World War I, World War II, the September 11 attacks, and the October 7 Hamas attack.
TikTok confirmed the video was removed for violating community guidelines related to misinformation. The platform stated that it does not allow harmful content, regardless of intent. Jewish organizations including the Anti-Defamation League and the American Jewish Committee condemned Kattan’s statements as antisemitic and dangerous, accusing her of spreading long-standing conspiracy theories.
The backlash has reignited pressure on retailers like Sephora to drop Huda Beauty products. Kattan, who has voiced strong support for Palestinians in Gaza, previously faced boycott threats after responding to criticism of her stance on the October 7 conflict.
