Taylor Swift Reclaims First Six Albums’ Masters After Lengthy Dispute

Taylor Swift has successfully purchased the master recordings of her first six albums from Shamrock Capital, closing a years-long dispute that began when her music was sold without her consent in 2019.

Following the sale to Scooter Braun and later to Shamrock, Swift re-recorded four albums under “Taylor’s Version.”

Now, with full control of her original music, she called the acquisition her “greatest dream come true.”

Swift confirmed she has also re-recorded her 2006 debut and parts of 2017’s Reputation, which will be released in the future.
