Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani confirmed the government’s interest during a call with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, signaling a shift toward diplomatic engagement.
Israeli officials have shown interest in normalizing ties but insist the Golan Heights will remain under Israeli sovereignty.
