A Smart Handbag That Reinvents Itself With a Smartphone Swipe

A French startup has introduced a new take on wearable technology with the launch of a smart handbag that allows users to change its appearance in real time using a smartphone.

The leather “Infinity” handbag, created by Paris-based company Peuty, features an integrated OLED display embedded into the exterior of the bag, enabling dynamic visuals without altering the look or feel of traditional craftsmanship.

Unveiled at the CES technology trade show in Las Vegas, the handbag is designed to merge fashion and consumer technology. Through a dedicated mobile app, users can swipe to switch between colors, patterns, artworks, or even upload personal photos taken on their phone.

The OLED panels are built into the leather surface and function as low-energy displays, allowing animations and images to appear seamlessly on the bag.

According to the company, the handbag is designed for everyday use, with weather-resistant materials and sealed electronics to protect the display. Power comes from a rechargeable battery concealed inside the bag, which can be charged wirelessly and is expected to last several days depending on usage.

The product reflects a broader trend at CES, where technology companies are increasingly focusing on lifestyle-driven innovation rather than traditional gadgets alone.
