Russia Launches First Direct Flight to North Korea in 70 Years

Russia has officially launched its first direct commercial flight to North Korea in over seven decades, marking a significant milestone in their deepening alliance amid the ongoing Ukraine war.

Operated by Nordwind Airlines, the Moscow-to-Pyongyang route will run monthly, with ticket prices around $570.

This development follows resumed rail links and reflects growing military and political cooperation between the two countries, including a mutual defense pact and reported North Korean troop support for Russia in Ukraine.
