Director Rob Reiner’s Son Nick Charged in Parents’ Murder

Nick Reiner, the 32-year-old son of legendary Hollywood director Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the stabbing deaths of his parents, who were found in their Brentwood, Los Angeles home on Sunday.

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s office filed charges including the special circumstance of multiple murders, meaning Nick Reiner could face life in prison without the possibility of parole or even the death penalty if convicted.

According to reports, Nick had argued with his parents at a Hollywood party the evening before their bodies were discovered by their daughter.

His lawyer stated that Nick, who has a known history of substance abuse, has not yet been medically cleared to appear in court but could be arraigned as soon as Wednesday.
