Israeli Arms Booths Sealed Off at Paris Air Show Amid Rising Tensions

Geopolitics overshadowed the 2025 Paris Air Show as French authorities sealed off booths belonging to five Israeli defense firms, citing their display of “offensive” weapons amid the ongoing Gaza and Iran conflicts.

Black walls were erected around the stands of Israel Aerospace Industries, Rafael, Elbit, Uvision, and Aeronautics, barring public access. France’s government said the showcased weaponry, including drones and precision-guided missiles, violated the event’s agreements due to potential use in Gaza.

The move drew sharp criticism from Israeli officials, who labeled it discriminatory and politically motivated. President Isaac Herzog described it as creating a “ghetto,” while the Israeli Defense Ministry accused France of protecting its own defense sector from competition.

Even French far-right leader Marine Le Pen condemned the decision. The incident came as Israeli airstrikes hit Iranian nuclear facilities and as tensions with Tehran and in Gaza continue to rise.
