Meet Togo’s Bold All-Women Security Force Redefining Protection

A groundbreaking security company in Togo’s capital Lomé is redefining who stands on the frontlines. Nana Benz Security, founded by Stan Komi Bada, has become the country’s first all-female security agency — employing over 60 women and challenging deep-seated societal norms.

The company, which hires women often overlooked by traditional employers, has drawn attention for providing financial independence and confidence to its recruits.

Named after Togo’s famed female textile traders, Nana Benz Security represents a push for gender equality in a male-dominated field. Founder Bada says the initiative was inspired by growing female leadership in Togo, including a female prime minister and other top officials.

The company plans to expand across Togo and West Africa, continuing its mission to create opportunity and challenge stereotypes about women’s roles in society.
