Former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, are set to face criminal charges in the United States, with the trial scheduled in New York following a 2019–2020 federal indictment.
U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi stated the couple “will soon face the full force of American justice, on U.S. soil and before American courts.” Charges include narco-terrorism, drug trafficking, and weapons offenses.
