Macrons Sue US Podcaster Candance Owens Over Defamation

French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, have filed a defamation lawsuit against US right-wing podcaster Candace Owens in Delaware court.

The couple alleges that Owens spread a series of “verifiably false” and harmful claims on her podcast and YouTube series—including that Brigitte was born a man, is related to Macron, and that Macron was part of a CIA mind control plot.

Despite requests to retract the content, Owens continued posting, prompting the Macrons to seek a jury trial and damages.

This is the couple’s first US-based legal action, signaling a serious escalation in their efforts to counter conspiracy-driven misinformation.
