Large Proportion of Gaza’s Population is “Starving”, WHO Chief Says
The World Health Organization’s chief has issued a dire warning about widespread starvation in Gaza, calling it a “man-made” crisis fueled by blockade and restrictions on humanitarian aid.
With more than 2.1 million people trapped in the besieged territory, aid deliveries remain drastically below survival needs.
The WHO confirmed that at least 21 children under five have died from malnutrition this year, with reports of many more.
Over 1,000 Palestinians have reportedly been killed trying to access food since May. Humanitarian organizations are demanding immediate action, full access for aid, and a ceasefire.
