Iran claims replaced air defenses damaged during Israel war

Iran’s army operations chief Mahmoud Mousavi claimed Tehran has replaced its damaged air defense systems following a 12-day war with Israel, sparked by a surprise Israeli bombing campaign targeting Iranian military and nuclear infrastructure.

Over 1,000 Iranians and 28 Israelis were killed in the conflict, which saw both sides launch intense aerial and missile attacks.

The US also carried out strikes on Iranian nuclear sites, though reports vary on how much damage was done.

As Tehran aims to restore its defenses, Israeli leaders vow to prevent Iran from rebuilding its nuclear capabilities, keeping tensions high despite a ceasefire since June 24.
