NASA, Moon Rock, and Diplomacy: Inside the U.S. Pavilion at Expo 2025

The U.S. pavilion at Expo 2025 in Osaka opened on Sunday, offering visitors a high-tech, space-themed experience centered on American innovation.

Located on Yumeshima, a man-made island known as “Dream Island”, the pavilion immerses guests in a NASA rocket launch simulation and has a lunar rock from the Apollo 12 mission, first displayed in Osaka at Expo 1970.

The exhibit’s goal is to connect America’s legacy in space exploration with its future ambitions by using interactive displays to showcase technological leadership and foster global collaboration.

Part of a six-month world exposition featuring over 160 nations, Expo 2025 runs until October and is expected to attract around 28 million visitors.

The event’s theme, “Designing Future Society for Our Lives,” emphasizes innovation, sustainability, and international unity.
