Dogs, Cats, Rabbits Go Diving: Inside China’s Pet Aquatic Training

In an unusual aquatic program in Nanning, China, pets including dogs, cats, parrots, ducks, and rabbits are learning to dive underwater alongside their owners, equipped with specialized gear and guided by trainers.

The program is designed to prepare the animals for future marine activities, building their confidence and comfort in the water through safe, controlled dives.

According to the organizers, over 60 animals have successfully completed these underwater sessions over the past few years, with no reported injuries, suggesting the pets not only tolerate but may enjoy the unique experience.
