How to Get 2026 FIFA World Cup Tickets
The road to the 2026 FIFA World Cup officially began this week with the opening of the first ticket sales.
For now, access is limited to Visa cardholders, who will have the initial chance to register for tickets through FIFA’s online system. Prices mark a historic jump compared to past tournaments, starting at $60 for group-stage matches and climbing to $6,730 for the final at the world’s biggest sporting event.
This World Cup will be unlike any before. Expanded to 48 nations, it will feature 104 matches across 16 cities in three host countries: 11 in the United States, three in Mexico, and two in Canada. FIFA is also introducing dynamic pricing for the first time, meaning ticket costs will fluctuate depending on demand.
Hospitality packages have been available since May, but Wednesday marks the beginning of the wider public process. Fans must first create a FIFA Ticket ID to access the system, with more draws and lotteries to follow in the months ahead.
Once the tournament schedule is finalized at the December 5 draw in Washington, buyers will know which teams they’re paying to see. Excitement is already building as North America prepares for a historic tournament.
