Guinness Record: World’s Largest Popcorn Bucket Unveiled in LA
A record-breaking $80 popcorn bucket shaped like Marvel’s Galactus is drawing fans back to theaters and turning heads worldwide.
In a creative bid to lure fans away from streaming and back into cinemas, Marvel and the TCL Chinese Theatre unveiled the Guinness World Record holder for the largest popcorn bucket ever sold.
Shaped like Galactus, the cosmic villain from Fantastic Four: First Steps, the bucket features LED-lit eyes, a glossy metallic finish, and enough capacity to hold 341 ounces of popcorn. At 20 inches wide and nearly 18 inches tall, it’s not just a snack holder, it’s a showpiece.
For $80, fans get both their popcorn and a collectible worthy of display. “People are eating it up,” said TCL’s tour guide Lacey Noel.
The campaign is part of a wider industry push to create exclusive, tangible moviegoing experiences that can’t be replicated at home. Fans say they’re drawn more by the memorabilia than the film itself.
While some balk at the price tag, others see it as an immersive return to big-screen spectacle.
