FIFA World Cup 2026 Draw: All Eyes on the Kennedy Center

On December 5, 2025, the world’s attention will turn to Washington, DC, where the group-stage draw for the FIFA World Cup 2026 will be revealed at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

U.S. President Donald Trump and FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced that the iconic venue, America’s national cultural center and a living memorial to John F. Kennedy, will host one of the most significant milestones ahead of the tournament.

The draw will bring together team officials, ambassadors, fans, and global media as the world’s best national teams learn their next steps on the road to lifting football’s most coveted trophy.

The 2026 edition will be the largest ever, featuring 48 teams and 104 matches across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Canada will host 13 games split between Toronto and Vancouver, Mexico will stage 13 matches across Mexico City, Guadalajara, and Monterrey, and the United States will host the majority of fixtures across 11 cities.

The Kennedy Center will not only host the draw but also serve as FIFA’s U.S. base, following a $257 million renovation tied to America’s 250th anniversary.
