Elon Musk Ends Legal Battle with Former Twitter Executives

Elon Musk has settled a high-profile lawsuit with four former Twitter executives who accused him of withholding $128 million in severance payments after his controversial 2022 acquisition of the platform, now known as X.

The group — Parag Agrawal, Ned Segal, Vijaya Gadde, and Sean Edgett — claimed Musk fired them within hours of the deal closing to avoid paying compensation and stock options. Court filings from California’s Northern District show both sides reached a confidential agreement earlier this month, halting scheduled depositions, including one involving Musk.

The dispute cited passages from Walter Isaacson’s biography of Musk, which detailed the Tesla CEO’s alleged frustration with Twitter’s leadership and his rush to finalize the purchase so he could terminate them “for cause.”

While settlement terms remain undisclosed, the case marks another chapter in Musk’s ongoing legal entanglements since taking over Twitter. It follows a separate settlement reached in August with other former employees seeking unpaid severance.
