Dubai has taken futuristic dining to a new extreme with Woohoo, a restaurant where the head “chef” is an artificial intelligence program named Chef Aiman.
Trained on thousands of recipes and decades of culinary research, the AI creates inventive fusion dishes—including a headline-grabbing “dinosaur tartare” crafted through DNA mapping and served on a plate designed to mimic breathing.
While human chefs still cook and adjust the dishes, the AI controls flavor balancing, menu optimization, and even the holographic visuals inside the neon-lit space.
Opinions in Dubai’s culinary world are split: some see AI as the next frontier, while Michelin-starred chefs argue that real cooking requires soul and memory—qualities they say machines lack.
