Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Convicted of Prostitution Charges, Faces Up to 10 Years in Prison
Hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs has been convicted of federal charges for transporting individuals across state lines for illegal sexual activity under the century-old Mann Act.
Although acquitted of the more severe sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges that could have carried a life sentence, Combs now faces a potential prison term of up to 10 years.
Prosecutors argued he coerced women into abusive sex parties involving drugs and threats, while the defense claimed all activity was consensual.
The judge denied Combs’ request for bail, citing a long pattern of violence, and scheduled his sentencing for October 3, with a hearing set for July 8 to determine the final guidelines.
