China Shows Off Nuclear Missiles, Drones, and Stealth Fighters During Military Parade
China marked the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II with a massive military parade in Beijing, showcasing its rapidly modernizing armed forces.
Soldiers marched under the watch of Xi Jinping while helicopters formed the numbers 8 and 0, signaling the historic date.
The highlight was the first concentrated display of China’s “nuclear triad,” including land-based DF-61 and DF-5C missiles, sea-launched JL-3 missiles, and air-launched JL-1s.
The parade also revealed advanced anti-ship missiles like the YJ-15 and YJ-20, hypersonic and long-range, as well as stealth J-35 fighters, reconnaissance drones, and submarine drones such as the AJX002.
Analysts say the show demonstrates China’s growing military capability to deter conflicts, particularly against U.S. naval forces in the Asia-Pacific, though many systems remain untested in real combat.
