Bahrain Signs Nuclear Cooperation Memorandum With US, Eyes $17B Investment
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio hosted a Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony on Nuclear Cooperation with Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani at the Department of State.
Meanwhile, Bahrain’s Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa is preparing to announce more than $17 billion in planned investments in the United States during his meeting with President Donald Trump.
The deal includes a $7 billion agreement with Boeing and GE for 12 aircraft and 40 engines, support for 30,000 US jobs, and major tech partnerships with Cisco and Oracle.
Bahrain will also boost investments in LNG and aluminum production and begin talks on civil nuclear energy cooperation.
