Artist Imagines ‘Yalta 2.0’ Summit With Trump, Putin, and Xi

A Russian artist has reimagined the historic Yalta Conference of 1945, visualizing a modern-day gathering of Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin, and Xi Jinping in a symbolic artwork.

The piece, created by Andrei Krupin, places the three leaders side by side in a palace in Crimea, mirroring the iconic meeting where Roosevelt, Stalin, and Churchill shaped Europe’s post-war order nearly 80 years ago.

“In February, its 80th anniversary is celebrated, and we decided to make an exhibition ‘Yalta 2.0’, with the help of which we will show what the Yalta Conference would look like today, if it took place this year and, I think, will happen,” Krupin said.

Beyond art, the concept aligns with growing signs of diplomatic engagement. According to The New York Post, Trump recently spoke with Putin over the phone about ending the war in Ukraine—marking the first known direct conversation between a U.S. president and Putin since early 2022.

While a Trump-Putin meeting may not reshape the world as Krupin imagines, analysts suggest it could influence efforts to resolve the Ukraine conflict, especially if Trump follows his campaign promises.
