$1B Showdown: Melania Trump vs. Hunter Biden Over Epstein Allegation

First Lady Melania Trump has issued a legal threat to Hunter Biden, demanding more than $1 billion in damages over what her lawyers describe as “false, defamatory, and inflammatory” statements.

In a recent interview, Biden claimed that convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein introduced Melania to Donald Trump, an allegation the first lady strongly denies. Her legal team is seeking a full retraction and public apology, warning of overwhelming financial and reputational harm.

The claim, partially attributed to journalist Michael Wolff, echoed an earlier Daily Beast story that was later removed following a legal challenge from Melania’s attorney. The outlet also issued a public apology, clarifying there is no evidence to support the alleged connection.

Melania’s lawyers accuse Biden of exploiting falsehoods “to draw attention” to himself.

The first lady maintains she met Donald Trump in 1998 at a New York party hosted by a modelling agency founder, long after Trump’s ties with Epstein had ended.

This dispute surfaces amid growing political pressure to release the so-called “Epstein files”, unreleased documents tied to the late financier’s criminal investigation, which the FBI says contain no incriminating client list.
