4) Eligibility and Age Restrictions
The Site is intended for users 13+. Users under 18 may use the Site only with a parent/guardian who accepts these Terms. If you are in the EU/UK, you must be 16+ unless applicable law allows a lower age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13; if we learn otherwise, we will delete it promptly.
5) Editorial Standards, Transparency & Corrections
We aim to uphold professional journalistic standards. In line with industry best practices for news distribution platforms:
- Bylines & dates. Articles and videos will include clear publication dates and bylines; where relevant, we provide author or editorial team information and an “About/Contact” page.
- Sourcing & updates. We cite sources where appropriate and note material corrections or updates with a visible update time.
- Corrections. If you believe content contains an error, email info@pulse.us.comwith a link and details. We assess in good faith and correct as warranted. On third-party distribution (e.g., Apple News), we may issue correction notices consistent with platform guidance.
- Opinions. Views expressed by interviewees or contributors are their own and do not necessarily reflect Pulse’s views.
6) Video Production, Recordings & Likeness
Pulse produces and distributes original video and audio (interviews, panels, explainers, and live discussions):
- Recording notice. If you participate in a Pulse-hosted session via the Site (e.g., webinar, live Q&A), you consent to recording of your voice, image, and contributions, and you grant Pulse a worldwide, royalty-free license to edit, reproduce, distribute, publicly perform/display, and create derivative works from the recording in any media now known or later developed, for editorial and promotional purposes.
- Third-party materials. You may not provide materials you lack rights to. Where applicable, you are responsible for obtaining permissions (e.g., images, music, or clips).
- Editorial control. Pulse retains editorial discretion over recording, editing, contextualization, and publication schedule.
- No guarantee to publish. Participation does not guarantee publication.
Note: Guests, contractors, or partners in formal productions will be asked to sign separate written releases/production agreements; this Section governs Site interactions by general users and participants.
7) Syndication & Distribution (Google Publisher Center and Apple News)
We may distribute Pulse content across third-party platforms (e.g., Google’s news surfaces and Apple News). Platform availability and placement are determined by those platforms.
- Platform compliance. We structure article pages to meet transparency requirements (clear dates/bylines, publisher and contact details) and avoid misleading or deceptive practices and undisclosed sponsorships.
- Sponsored & affiliate content. Advertising and other paid material will be clearly labeled and will not be presented as independent editorial content; sponsorship or material support will be disclosed.
- Site reputation & third-party content. We do not engage in “site reputation abuse” or publish third-party material primarily for ranking or distribution advantages.
- Apple News scope. Apple News is a distribution platform for professional journalistic publications available in AU, CA, UK, and US; Apple may require editorial information and channel approval.
- Media specs (Apple News). When applicable we follow Apple’s media guidance (e.g., HLS recommended for hosted video; embeddable YouTube/Vimeo supported).
- AI-generated/assisted content (Apple News). Where content is generated with or assisted by AI, we will label it and mark the article in Apple News Publisher/ANF metadata, and we remain responsible for accuracy and timely corrections.
- Paywalled content. If we use a paywall or require registration, our pages will use appropriate structured data so aggregators can differentiate paywalled content from cloaking.
Your use of these third-party platforms is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
8) Advertising, Sponsorships & Branded Content
We may display ads or publish sponsored/editorially independent “sponsored” or “partner” content. We will clearly label such material and avoid excessive ad density relative to editorial content. Affiliate links may generate commissions; such relationships will be disclosed where required.
9) Third-Party Links and Embedded Content
Our content may link to or embed third-party sites or services (e.g., referenced articles, embedded video players). We are not responsible for the content or policies of third parties. You access third-party content at your own risk.
10) Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and content are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or availability and disclaim all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.
