Zoe Saldaña Becomes Hollywood’s Top-Grossing Star

Zoe Saldaña has officially become the highest-grossing actor in box office history, surpassing Scarlett Johansson with her films earning a collective total of over $15.46 billion worldwide.

This record was solidified by the continued success of the Avatar franchise, with the latest sequel, Avatar: Fire and Ash, adding more than $1.2 billion to her staggering total. Saldaña’s unparalleled commercial achievement is built on her key roles in three of Hollywood’s biggest franchises: as Neytiri in Avatar, Gamora in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Uhura in the Star Trek reboot series.

The milestone comes on the heels of a landmark year for Saldaña, who also won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Emilia Pérez.

The list of top-grossing actors is heavily dominated by Marvel stars, with Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Downey Jr., and Chris Pratt following Saldaña and Johansson, while Tom Cruise leads the contingent of stars without Marvel films.
