White House: “More Options” on Hormuz

The White House says the United States still has additional military options under consideration as tensions continue around the strategic Strait of Hormuz during Operation Epic Fury.

Speaking to reporters, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the U.S. military has demonstrated significant capabilities in recent days and suggested further actions remain possible, though she declined to provide details.

Leavitt emphasized that Donald Trump is continuing discussions with allies in Europe and across the Gulf and Arab regions, urging them to increase their involvement in securing key shipping lanes and stabilizing the region.

Her comments come as the administration faces pressure to ensure safe navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical route for global energy supplies amid ongoing tensions with Iran.

Leavitt also confirmed that a planned trip between President Trump and Xi Jinping of China has been postponed, citing scheduling conflicts and the evolving geopolitical situation.

She said both sides are working to reschedule the meeting, noting that leaders in Washington and Beijing remain in communication as the situation develops.
