US Builds Major Military Force in Middle East

The United States has quietly assembled a massive military force in the Middle East, positioning 13 warships, including the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, with the world’s largest carrier USS Gerald R. Ford and three destroyers en route.

A large fleet of aircraft has also deployed to the region, featuring F-22 Raptor stealth fighters, F-15 and F-16 warplanes, and KC-135 aerial refueling tankers essential for sustained operations.

This buildup follows President Donald Trump’s repeated threats of military action against Iran if ongoing nuclear talks fail to produce a replacement for the 2015 deal he abandoned in 2018.

While US and Iranian officials held talks in Geneva this week, agreeing on “guiding principles,” the White House says the sides remain “very far apart.”

Experts warn that the concentration of so much firepower creates its own momentum, making the prospect of a strike increasingly plausible should Trump give the order.

The stage is set for a potential major escalation in the long-running confrontation with Tehran.
