Trump Signs Executive Order to Support Foster Youth

U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order aimed at strengthening support for children in the foster care system.

Joined by First Lady Melania Trump, the president emphasized that the initiative, named the Fostering the Future Program, will coordinate efforts across federal agencies and the First Lady’s office to help youth transition successfully into adulthood.

The program is designed to provide resources, connect foster youth with education and tax credit opportunities, and ensure they become productive, strong, and self-reliant citizens.

Trump thanked foster families, caregivers, and leaders for their commitment, vowing that these children “will never, ever be forgotten,” and highlighted the importance of structured programs like the Federal Tax Credit Scholarship.

The signing drew applause and highlighted a focus on improving long-term outcomes for children in foster care.
