Trump Imposes New 10% Global Tariff Order

President Donald Trump announced that existing national security tariffs under Section 232 and Section 301 will remain fully in effect. In addition, he said he will sign an order imposing a new 10% global tariff under Section 122, adding to current duties already being charged.

The administration is also initiating new Section 301 and related investigations aimed at addressing what it describes as unfair trade practices by foreign countries and companies. Officials say the measures are designed to protect U.S. industries and strengthen national economic security.
