“Trump’s Chinese Twin” Goes Viral on Social Media

A Chinese internet personality is drawing global attention for an impression that feels almost too real.

Ryan Chen, a content creator from Chongqing, has gone viral across Instagram, TikTok and Chinese platforms for mimicking Donald Trump’s voice, facial expressions and signature mannerisms with striking accuracy.

Unlike many political impersonators, Chen avoids satire and political commentary. Instead, he uses the Trump persona as a playful storytelling tool, weaving it into videos about Chinese food, local culture, dancing and everyday humor.

His clips are usually filmed in English with Chinese subtitles, helping them reach both international and domestic audiences.

Chen’s popularity surged in 2025 after Trump returned to the White House, reigniting global interest in the U.S. president’s personality and public style. A livestream appearance with U.S. YouTuber IShowSpeed further boosted Chen’s visibility, introducing him to millions of new viewers.

Today, Chen has more than a million followers on Instagram and TikTok, and over 2.5 million on Chinese platforms. He now earns a living through brand promotions, public events and sponsored content.
