The United States is expanding its military presence across the Middle East as part of Operation Epic Fury, deploying additional sailors, Marines, and warships to strengthen maritime enforcement operations around Iran.

U.S. military officials say more than a dozen American warships are now positioned across the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea, forming what they describe as a coordinated security “net” aimed at restricting Iranian oil shipments and commercial maritime activity linked to the conflict.

Officials confirmed that at least six Iranian-linked vessels have already been turned back without escalation so far, even as tensions remain high across key regional shipping corridors.

Iran has warned it could respond by expanding operations beyond the Strait of Hormuz and potentially targeting broader global shipping routes if pressure continues.

At the same time, a second round of diplomatic negotiations is underway as international officials seek to reduce tensions while military deployments continue.

Donald Trump said China is cooperating with the United States and will halt weapons shipments to Iran, adding that the U.S. remains prepared to respond militarily if necessary.
