State Department Urges Americans to Leave Middle East Countries

The United States Department of State issued an urgent warning Monday advising Americans to depart multiple Middle East countries due to what it described as “serious safety risks.”

The alert follows escalating tensions after the United States and Israel exchanged strikes with Iran.

According to the notice shared on X, Americans were urged to leave more than a dozen countries in the region using available commercial transportation. Countries listed include Egypt, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, Iran, and Iraq, among others.

The department said Americans who require assistance arranging departure via commercial means can contact 24/7 emergency lines at +1-202-501-4444 (from abroad) or +1-888-407-4747 (from the U.S. and Canada).

The advisory comes as regional tensions continue to rise amid ongoing military exchanges.
