Rockstar Games Delays Release of GTA VI Until Nov. 2026

Rockstar Games has announced another delay for Grand Theft Auto VI, now officially rescheduled for release on November 19, 2026 — nearly a decade after the record-breaking success of GTA V.

The studio says the extra development time will ensure the “polish and quality” that fans have come to expect from one of the most iconic franchises in gaming history.

The new installment, set in a Miami-inspired Vice City, will feature a groundbreaking first for the series — a female protagonist named Lucia — alongside a second playable character in what appears to be a modern-day “Bonnie and Clyde” crime saga.

The first trailer, soundtracked by Tom Petty’s “Love Is A Long Road,” gave players a glimpse of the game’s breathtaking visuals, fast-paced heists, neon-soaked nightlife, and cinematic storytelling.

Despite frustration over repeated delays, excitement remains sky-high, as industry analysts predict GTA VI could become the biggest entertainment release ever, redefining open-world gameplay for a new generation of players.
