Nicki Minaj Endorses Trump & Vance as ‘Role Models’ at Conservative Convention
Rap superstar Nicki Minaj made a surprise appearance at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest conservative convention in Arizona, where she publicly praised former President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, calling them “role models.”
In an interview with Erika Kirk, the widow of late activist Charlie Kirk, Minaj expressed admiration for the administration’s “heart and soul,” mocked California Governor Gavin Newsom using Trump’s derogatory nickname “New-scum,” and explained her shift in support after having previously condemned Trump’s policies.
She stated she was tired of being “pushed around” for her opinions and thanked the audience for allowing her to speak freely, marking a stark and controversial political turn for the artist who once shared her story as an undocumented immigrant to criticize Trump’s border policies.
