‘Ketamine Queen’ Pleads Guilty in Matthew Perry’s Death
Jasveen Sangha, a 42-year-old dubbed the “Ketamine Queen,” has pleaded guilty in Los Angeles to five felony counts connected to the 2023 drug death of “Friends” star Matthew Perry.
Prosecutors said Sangha ran a North Hollywood stash house and was the last of five defendants to admit guilt in the high-profile case. She confessed to maintaining a drug-involved premises and distributing ketamine, including a dose that led to Perry’s fatal overdose.
Medical examiners concluded Perry, 54, died from the acute effects of ketamine, which caused him to lose consciousness and drown in his hot tub in October 2023.
Sangha now faces a potential sentence of up to 65 years in prison when she returns to court in December, although the judge could impose a lesser term.
Four co-defendants, including two physicians, Perry’s personal assistant, and another intermediary, also await sentencing.
Perry’s death highlighted the dangers of prescription drug misuse and substance abuse, issues he had publicly spoken about during his career.
