Israeli Ambassador to UN: Macron, Other Leaders Leaving Hostages Behind

Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, delivers sharp criticism aimed at both French President Emmanuel Macron and New York Assembly candidate Zohran Mamdani.

Danon pushes back against Mamdani’s warning of implementing an arrest warrant against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu if elected, urging him to respect U.S. democratic principles and reminding him that Israel’s leaders, including Netanyahu, will continue to address the UN regardless of local politics.

He also expressed disappointment with Macron and other international leaders after recognizing a Palestinian state, accusing them of abandoning earlier commitments made in solidarity with Israel after October 8th.

Danon pointed out that leaders who once stood firmly with Israel and called for the release of the Gaza hostages are now shifting away from that focus.

According to the envoy, Israel cannot and will not forget the hostages still held in Gaza, and the war will not end until every hostage is freed.
