Is Israel involved in the reported US–Iran talks?
As discussions around possible talks with Iran emerge, uncertainty remains over Israel’s position in any potential diplomatic process.
US President Donald Trump has indicated that negotiations could help bring the conflict toward a resolution, raising questions about how closely aligned the United States and Israel are at this stage.
Israeli officials have signaled that, as far as they are aware, Israel is not directly involved in any reported negotiations between Washington and Tehran. At the same time, Israeli leadership has emphasized that military operations are ongoing, with continued targeting of sites linked to Iran.
Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, said that operations are continuing alongside the United States and that recent actions have “accomplished a lot,” while also noting that objectives have not yet been fully achieved.
Analysts say the situation highlights a complex dynamic, where diplomatic discussions and military activity may be unfolding in parallel. The extent to which Israel supports or participates in any future negotiations remains unclear.
