Rubio: Iran Will Not Be Allowed to Develop Nuclear Weapons
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Iran will not be allowed to develop a nuclear weapon, as U.S. military operations continue targeting Iranian missile infrastructure.
Speaking amid the escalating conflict, Rubio said the United States will not allow Iran to “hide behind” its short-term ballistic missile inventory or its ability to manufacture and launch missiles.
He said United States Central Command (CENTCOM), operating jointly with Israeli forces, is carrying out what he described as a systematic campaign to dismantle Iran’s missile network — including launchers, production capabilities, and elements of its naval forces.
Rubio added that, based on briefings from defense officials, operations are proceeding on or ahead of schedule.
The remarks come as military activity intensifies across the region in the ongoing U.S.–Israel–Iran conflict.
